The atmosphere at Bundala National Park is always aflutter with the ceaseless activity of the birds. It is the first wetland to be declared as a Ramsar site in Sri Lanka and a UNESCO designated biosphere reserve. The Park hosts 197 species of birds of which 58 are migratory.

Being one of the best places to observe winter migrant species as well as various resident and migratory water birds, Bundala is a bird lover’s paradise. During the excursion, you will encounter Black Headed Ibis, Black Tailed Godwit, Painted Stork, Terns and many other bird species along with mammals, amphibians, butterflies and reptiles.

A visit here could set your heart racing with excitement as the birds chirp, screech, sway and hop from branch to branch!
