The restaurant is set around a 200 year-old banyan tree, ready to cast its rural charm on you. This is undoubtedly the only place in bustling Colombo, where you’ll find a village in the city to experience authentic Sri Lanka fare.

From a functioning kade (shop) to ammes (village cooks) preparing the food, the intricate details give you an experience of Sri Lankan village life. When crows caw atop the banyan tree, our staff ring the bell hanging from one of the branches to shoo them away. Every detail is well thought out to provide you with the best experience. The ammes would love to share their handed-down recipes and even patiently teach you how to cook them. Take a round of our little organic farm, which adds on to our status as Asia’s first carbon neutral venue. It’s one of the secrets behind our hearty meals.
